HS2 On the Way?

News released earlier today that the Government is not fully supporting the proposed HS2 route suggests two options :

(1) The rest of the route is being supported and
(2) The questioned route is not so great an issue to stop a general statement of support.

As any scheme would be likely to be constructed in phases anyway, this may be a strategic issue, but in my experience it would appear that affected property owners need to think about the next stages; is their property held in a rational way; might leases expire before 2016? Should new leases be sought beforehand? Start keeping logs of property searches.
